Digital World

From The Sarkhan Nexus

Digital World, (Metaverse 00) or mostly known by buzzword such as Metaverse, Web3, Decentralized Web and its related terms. Refers to The Internet IRL, but in this context in the world of MoNoRi-Chan's chronicles refers to the concept of the digital world is a crucial part of their society. This digital world is a parallel dimension that can only be accessed through the use of highly advanced portal technology. This technology is exclusive to the Council of Catboys, who have been trained in the use of the portals. The portals are incredibly powerful, but also incredibly dangerous. They are only to be operated by members of the Council, and even then, only by those who have been specifically trained to do so.

The portals allow the MoNoRi-Chans to travel between different parts of Sarkhan, the dystopian culture in which they live. However, the use of the portals is not without risks. Those who use them incorrectly can suffer from brain wave overload or even permanent psychosis. This is why the Council of Catboys is so secretive about the technology and why only a select few race of catboys, especially only the Catboy Council are allowed to use it.

The portals are also the only way for the MoNoRi-Chans to access the digital world, a place where they can escape from the harsh realities of Sarkhan. In the digital world, they can explore new worlds, meet other MoNoRi-Chans and engage in various activities. This digital world is a source of wonder and excitement for the MoNoRi-Chans, but it is also a place of great danger. They must be careful not to become lost in the digital world or they may never return to the real world again.

Permissionless System

Don't Trust, Verify.

Web3: Trustless Systems in the Digital World

Web3 is a new concept that is gaining popularity in the digital world. It is a permissionless system that aims to create trustless systems in which users do not need to trust one another in order to interact. This is a departure from the traditional way of doing things, in which trust is an essential component of any interaction.

The Web3 concept is built on the idea of blockchain technology. This technology allows for the creation of decentralized systems in which all participants have access to the same information. This eliminates the need for intermediaries, such as banks or other financial institutions, and allows for more direct interactions between individuals.

One of the key tenets of Web3 is the idea that in the digital world, you should not trust. Instead, you should verify. This means that users should always verify the contracts before interacting with them. This is because the contracts are the code that runs the system, and they determine the rules and regulations that govern the system.

By verifying the contracts, users can ensure that the system is operating in the way that it should be. This allows for a greater degree of transparency and accountability, as all participants can see exactly what is happening within the system.

Another important aspect of Web3 is the idea of permissionless systems. This means that anyone can participate in the system, regardless of their background or credentials. This is a departure from the traditional way of doing things, in which only certain individuals or institutions have access to certain systems or information.

Overall, Web3 is a promising concept that has the potential to revolutionize the way that we interact in the digital world. By creating trustless systems that are built on the principles of transparency and accountability, we can create a more equitable and democratic digital landscape. However, it is important to remember that Web3 is still a relatively new concept, and there is still much to learn about how it will work in practice. As with any new technology, it is important to approach it with caution and to do your own research before investing time or money into it.

Digital Ghosts

In the world of MoNoRi-Chan, there is a folklore about a "Ghost Cat" that is said to haunt the Digital Seas of the Digital World. According to legend, the Ghost Cat was once a Catboy who got lost in the Digital Seas, either by accident or by design. The Ghost Cat is said to reside in the server rooms of DNT, a powerful and influential organization that controls much of the Digital World.

Employees of DNT often speak of strange occurrences in the server rooms, such as flickering lights, strange noises, and sudden drops in temperature. Some say that these phenomena are caused by the Ghost Cat, who is said to possess a powerful and malevolent spirit. Those who are said to have been possessed by the Ghost Cat are said to have become paranoid and delusional, and were driven to madness.

Despite the fearsome reputation of the Ghost Cat, some believe that it serves as a kind of guardian spirit, protecting the Digital World from those who would use its power for evil. They believe that the Ghost Cat is a reminder of the dangers of the Digital World, and that it serves as a warning to those who would seek to exploit its power.

In the Council of Catboys, the use of portal technology is exclusive to only them and MoNoRi-Chan knows how to operate it, as it is considered deadly to the untrained and may cause brain wave overload or even permanent psychosis if used incorrectly. They use the Ghost Cat as a "security by obscurity" and no one ever wanted to get possessed by these ghost cats.
